Adwoa Osei-Pianim

With 10 years+ experience in Nokia R&D roles, Adwoa is currently in the Fixed Networks Practice Automations R&D unit with responsibility of architecture and development of SDAN applications.

Exposed to programming in high school; Adwoa has been writing code as a hobby since; which naturally evolved into a career choice.

She started her career working on web and mobile applications; using PHP , Python for Mobile and Android. Currently working mostly with Java & REACT; she considers herself to be a full stack engineer involved in all aspects of the software lifecycle: design and architecture; frontend, backend development and DevOps.

She considers herself to be a lifelong learner; with a passion to have deep understanding of whatever projects she works on. This in combination with her strength in reverse engineering; enables her to decode complex problems and bridge knowledge gaps.

Adwoa holds a degree in Master of Science in Engineering, specializing in Software Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Ashesi University in Ghana.

Adwoa is currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling ; reading and attending music concerts. Adwoa also spends time being a mom to her 2 daughters.
