Adriana Vasilache

Adriana Vasilache has been with Nokia for the last 16 years working mainly on media modelling and compression with strong contributions in standardization. She holds two PhD degrees in the fields of automation and information technology. She has contributed with algorithms to the 3GPP and ITU speech and audio compression standardization processes. She has over 150 patents and patent applications in the field of speech and audio compression as well as compression of generic or biomedical data. She has been the chair of the EVS codec symposium in GlobalSIP conference in 2015 and technical program committee member at several editions of EUSIPCO and ISSPA conferences, as well as continuous reviewer for IEEE   journals and conferences. She has coordinated several Nokia Research Centre-Tampere University of Technology collaboration projects on lossy and lossless signal.
